Who We Are
Long gone are the days of handing people in crisis a long list of agency names with phone numbers and telling them good luck getting the help they asked for. This has been the systematic approach by which people in need of help have been treated. The problem with that system is that when people are in crisis, desperate for help, confused and close to giving up, giving up is exactly what happens. Consequently, they end up only calling a few numbers, then becoming discouraged, give up, and don't get the resources they needed. This will eventually cause them to fall between the cracks of what they needed to resolve their crisis. We've seen it happen time and time again in the foster care system, justice system, housing, child care, health care, education systems and much, much more.
Mercy2 has taken the charge to close the gaps by creating a safety net of organizations to protect people from falling between the cracks. As a community resource agency, we ensure communities and persons in need do not fall between the cracks of systems and services by removing the lines that disconnect services and access to resources. Moving beyond regions, districts, Service Practice Area (SPA), or jurisdiction lines, service providers are able to collaborate with other community providers across sectors geographically and categorically creates a safety net of protection. This is critical as many people often move from one district to another, having to start over or find new resources and services in the new area, and that without help. Bringing organizations together across the lines in other areas can ensure a proper handoff of clients from one agency to the other, ensuring a continuum in services and care for clients and preventing disruptions in care and the dropping the ball on resources.
Our 3 tier system of Collaborate, Assist, Prevent, offers many social benefits
Mercy2 receives from the community, then gives to community service providers, who then gives to the community.

Community providers work in silos an are disconnectd
We work to stop gaps in services so families and individuals in need don't fall betwween the cracks. Working in social services, we've witnessed the frustrtion of familes in need when giveen a list of resource providers and told to search and onnect with the on their on. often families would give up and suffer faps in service.
